In May 2020, @Dogesire tweeted saying he was in a sad mood and asked people to send pictures of their pets. @ourbravestboy responded with a picture of his dog, Caesar. People immediately noticed that Caesar looked extremely similar to Kabosu, the original Doge. @Dogesire quoted the photo, and the post received around 140,000 likes and 25,000 retweets in roughly one day. This was the creation of Doge 2.
02 — The turn
Caesar quickly spread from Twitter to Reddit and other meme communities.
03 — Now
Caesar became an actual Dogelore character.
Every great meme eventually becomes fine art. Doge2 simply got there faster.
